Those who can't cook... eat out. Everyday. Since I eat out for every meal, it's hard to keep track of what restaurants I've been to, which ones I liked or hated, and my favorite dishes. This blog is a way for me to keep track of everything.

Sushi Zo - Los Angeles, California

Sushi Zo is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Los Angeles.  I love how each dish is pretty small so I am able to get through the entire omakase without feeling too full.  The food variety and quality is excellent and so is the service.  We come here pretty often and I enjoy it each and every time.

My favorite sushi place has been Nozawa for quite some time now so I decided to give sugarfish a try since it's so close to work. Sugarfish is similar to Nozawa except it's cheaper and more Americanized. We ordered the Nozawa set which was pretty filling for me.

We came here for dinner and ordered the Omakase.  I personally like Sasabune and Nozawa a lot more but we come here when we’re craving sushi and the other places are closed. They used to have lunch specials for $10 but this was like 8 years ago.

We started with the Albacore Sashimi

We came to Asanebo for dinner and ordered the “Omakase C”. Although the exterior looks sketchy, the interior was very cozy. The service was excellent and the dishes came out fast! I love it when I don’t have to wait for the next course.

White fish with tomatoes in vinaigrette served in a martini glass. This picture definitely does not do this dish justice.

Baby clam and crab with seaweed

Sweet shrimp with black truffles

Japanese conch with broth and a raw quail egg - This was my favorite dish. It had a small fire keeping everything warm and the broth was amazing.

Fresh wild Japanese ono seared with garlic chips, ginger, daikon and a sweet vinegar ponzu
